WOW guys did I have a SUPER productive day yesterday!
I worked an overnight shift wednesday to thursday so when I got home I expected to sleep for a while! When I got home I remembered that I had my brothers serial number for his photoshop and decided I might as well download that onto my computer quick!
The downloading part was SUPER easy and quick but then once it was on there I couldn’t just close my computer and go to sleep…. I had to try it out! So I pulled up Lee’s photoshop tutorial on how to edit a photo in photoshop from start to finish! OMG she made photoshop easy! Honestly I did not think that was possible! There are just so many buttons it is super helpful to know which ones to use.
It honestly is so easy to use that I only followed along to Lee’s video for the first photo. Now I just need to get good at figuring out the correct levels of everything and that honestly happens with practice.
Heres a couple Before and Afters!
You can definitely see the HUGE changes in lighting! I’m just a newbie so they are perfect but I think they are pretty good for my first two photos Lee also posted a how to video on making an object float! I can’t wait to try this out next.
ABOUT THOSE PHOTOS: Lee and I hung out after one of her killer sculpt classes so I got to help her with a couple of her recipes for her e-cookbook and I also got to see her process of taking photos and editing them. I took and edited both of those photos.
So after all my photoshop fun I should have went to bed…. well…. Then I was thinking about how Lee told me it is so easy to switch to self hosting…. and so I began
I had already watched tons of videos on the how to and what not so I knew what hosting company to use and I had a good idea on how to move my blog from wordpress.com to wordpress.org. So I set off on adventure number two of the day. I used this tutorial! On that tutorial he had a link for half off bluehost, which is what I used.
I had no problem until it came to moving my blog from wordpress.com to wordpress.org I got it imported but nothing was showing up. I messed around with a few things and all of a sudden it worked! Now I am officially SELF HOSTED!
I have a ton of work to do to make this little place of the web how I want it but that will have to wait until I finished my school work for this semester.
I was so productive with the blog and photoshop but zero percent productive with school work…. now I have a couple papers to write
Last night before finally sleeping I went to boxing!
Al (the instructor) decided to kill our legs last night! Thanks Al I probably won’t be able to walk later today. It was super hard but a great workout and my legs loved it! I also loved the change up!
Ok time for me to start working on that school work….
If you are self hosted, how did your switch over experience go?
Have you used photoshop? If you haven’t you really should start!!!
p.s. I know I promised a lasagna recipe but I didn’t get a good photo of the recipe and I don’t really want to post my sloppy photo so you all will have to wait a little while for this amazing recipe Love Ya!
